Drs. Hetty van Hassel MRCVS
The main trainer is Hetty van Hassel. She stopped working as a full time veterinary surgeon in 2008 and now concentrates on training dogs and also gives acupuncture treatments to animals. During her studies for Veterinary Medicine at the University of Utrecht in Holland she also did a lot of courses in behaviour management of animals. Hetty competes with her dogs all over the world in freestyle, heelwork to music, obedience and agility.

 

Not only does Hetty teach at Black Jack DTC but she is regulary invited abroad to give seminars, workshops and private tuition in Obedience, Freestyle & Heelwork to Music and Barrel Racing. Many of her students in the UK and abroad are competing at the highest levels in obedience, freestyle or HtM or are trainers themselves. Hetty has also given courses for trainers in Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland and Italy.

In 2010 Hetty and her dog Detania the Wizz Kid qualified for the advanced freestyle semi finals for Crufts.
