Since July 2011 we also run an advanced obedience class. We felt the need for this class as we have many people enjoying the obedience classes with their dogs and wanting to learn more, but they have no intention of competing. These people would feel out of place in the competitive classes where we pay a lot of attention to small details. So this class is really ideal for people that have a well behaved dog but they would like it to learn more, but are not so interested in the accuracy needed for the competitions.

 

In this class you and your dog will learn: heelwork on and off the lead, retrieve, box, go play, recall with stand and down, stays with distractions, distance control, hurdle.

 

Go play: whenever possible dogs will be able to play with other dogs in some of these sessions as well and will practise to be called away from playing with other dogs. Playing will only be done with dogs that are sociable with other dogs.
